 | SM1 Soil Moisture Sensor
The SM1 soil moisture probe is available in several lengths. The usual length for measuring soil moisture for irrigation purposes is 30 cm. All models measure soil moisture at 10cm intervals, so the SM1 30 would measure soil moisture at 10, 20 and 30cm. The probe also has a built in soil temperature sensor. The interface is SDI-12 and so is usually attached to the A755 RTU.

The leaf wetness sensor works on the principle of electric conductivity, measuring in ten increments if the sensor surface is anything from completely dry to completely wet. The 30 x 40 mm sensor element is mounted on a holder, which allows more flexibility in the installation. The sensor features a teflon-coated ceramic carrier.

This is an extremely accurate sensor. The piezoresitive sensor element is fully temperature compensated and performs with a 0.1% accuracy. A high-capacity Gore-Tex vent makes sure that pressure inside the case equals outside pressure and that water ingress is prevented.

This is a digitally compensated level sensor suitable for a wide range of applications. Many measuring ranges are available, from 100cm to 30m. The probes are exrtremely accurate and provide excellent long term stability. Power supply is provided by the RTU's internal battery pack.
